BUSINESS APPLICATION DEVELOPER - ON SITE

Location: Sutton, MA

Summary: Sets the tone on information gathering. Disseminates information to all parties responsible for using it to the company’s benefit, helping ensure a focused, consistent and structured approach. Leverages the company’s computer system and software to maximize information gathered across the company. Uses the system as the primary tool for collecting data, creating, monitoring performance, and presenting actionable and performance-related information.

 

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 Contributes to and supports the company’s business automation strategy and related support practices.

 Oversees the ongoing development and operations of a business automation architecture that enables fact-based decision making, ad hoc analysis   and insight generation.

Collaborates with business stakeholders and end users to identify needs and opportunities for improved data management and efficiency, improve and streamline data flow and quality, improving accuracy, viability, and value.

Designs, develops, and maintains business automation systems, dashboards, portals and tools, as well as provides the organization with timely and accurate analytical reporting and real-time alerts.

Provides actionable insight by identifying trends and patterns in the company’s stored operational data.

Maintains and enhances existing reports, alerts, and queries to meet new business requirements.

Designs, codes, tests, and document all new or modified Business automation systems, applications, and programs.

Maintains or updates business automation tools, databases, dashboards, systems, or methods.

Manages user access to data and ensures the timely flow of business automation information to end-usersKeeps current with the direction of the business and needs of internal users, while staying current with Business automation industry trends.

 

Qualifications: 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience with business systems required.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. 

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced knowledge of MS Office; MS SQL; MS SharePoint; integrated ERP/MRP Systems; WMS and related inventory control software; HRIS and related payroll software; Crystal Reports, KnowledgeSync, VB.net, advanced reporting tools, basic application development methodologies, etc.

This positon requires the employee to be on site.  This is NOT a remote position.
