IT COORDINATOR

Location: Sutton, MA

Job Title: IT Coordinator

Reports To: IT Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

Department: IT

Division: 100

Summary: Ensures that the information technology and telecommunications infrastructure functions optimally at all times by installing, supporting and maintaining all related hardware, software, devices, connections and cables and other problems by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other projects and duties may be assigned.

  1. Provide Help Desk support as needed to support continuous operation and troubleshoot any reported problems.
  2. Assessment and troubleshooting for all devices, computers, peripherals, phones and manufacturing equipment.
  3. Coordinate and support the Systems Administrator and Network Administrator.
  4. Manage and coordinate with external vendors (printer and copier service, device repair, manufacturing equipment tech support, etc).
  5. Set up software on company owned assets. (O/S, Office, Citrix, etc)
  6. Maintain software and hardware inventory for all devices.
  7. Perform quarterly preventative maintenance.
  8. Cleans, repairs and services servers, desktops, laptops, peripheral devices, printers, faxes, copiers, telephones and CNC interfaces as needed to maintain equipment in proper working order.
  9. Assists with voice data cabling and patching.
  10. Travel between sites.
  11. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education/Experience:

Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school with an Information Technology concentration; and two to four years related Information Technology experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge local and wide area networks, Microsoft Office, Sage MAS500, Artios, AutoCad, Solidworks, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL, Citrix XenApp, Citrix Provisioning Server, VMWare, Microsoft Server and Symantec AV.
