Job Title: Account Manager
Reports To: General Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt

Summary: UGPG2 is looking for a strong candidate with 5+ years of selling product packaging (corrugated, foam, molded fiber etc.) to various customers. In addition this individual is expected to support the company’s goals through professional and ethical sales practices and good customer service, maintaining quality relations with existing accounts and providing sales and marketing coverage by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other projects and duties may be assigned.
Develops maximum sales potential through competitive sales techniques and knowledge of the company's products and services as well as the competition's strengths/weaknesses.
Builds and maintains professional and ethical relations with customer representatives as well as internal employees to increase account base, sales volume and overall customer satisfaction.
Maintains contact with customers as needed to meet and surpass sales and profitability goals for the company.
Identifies opportunities within existing accounts to increase overall market share and improve profit margins.
Evaluates current products and services in comparison to the market place and recommends strategic opportunities to increase sales and profit.
Develops proposals to efficiently satisfy customer requirements by aligning existing capabilities with customer needs.
Acts as liaison between established customer representatives and internal support departments such as Engineering, Customer Service, Accounting, Management and Manufacturing to insure customer satisfaction and adhere to established standards.
Stays current on market conditions, product trends, new materials and manufacturing techniques through available resources.
Utilizes available resources to continuously recruit new prospects and meet established new sales targets.
Keeps management abreast of account growth, attrition, new account opportunities and competitive activity through monthly sales meetings and daily interaction.
Assists with monthly physical inventories.
Entertains customers as required.
Assists onsite representatives with new account transitions.
Reads and understands blue prints and CAD drawings.
Understands technical packaging concepts such as cushioning curves, moisture protection and design parameters.
Travels between office and customer as needed.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education/Experience:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in military packaging, export packaging, logistics and clean room a plus.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
Math Ability:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of spreadsheet software; eApplications; accounting software; presentation software; ArtiosCad; AutoCad; SolidWorks; Citrix; order processing systems; Microsoft Outlook; Sales Logix; contact management systems and ACT!
Certificates and Licenses:
ISTA Lab Technician Certification
IOPP Membership preferred
Valid Driver’s License
